The Tightly Wound Body

A short piece about why capable people who do everything right can still live with tension and persistent pain.

If you’ve been living with ongoing pain, tension, or a body that never quite settles, it can feel confusing, frustrating, and at times exhausting. Especially when you’re already doing the things you feel you should be doing. Moving, exercising, trying to look after yourself, and keeping life going.

This isn’t a guide full of fixes or instructions. It’s a short piece of writing that reflects how I think about persistent pain and whole-person health, based on what I see every day in the people I work with. It offers a different way of understanding what might be happening in your body, and a gentle place to begin if things haven’t quite made sense so far.

If it resonates with you, you’re very welcome to read it below.
